Popular NFL analyst and sportscaster Kay Adams recently celebrated her 37th birthday on air. The celebrations were near perfect until a champagne pop went terribly wrong and made the entire moment go awry. She was accompanied by the former NFL cornerback Darius Butler, who made the show even more delightful.

Dorothy Konopka, who is popularly known by her stage name Kay Adams, happens to be an important figure in the NFL arena. She is widely regarded as one of the most entertaining broadcasters with her cheerful reporting style and unbiased analysis.

Kay Adams’ birthday celebration video is going viral

Adams currently works for Fan Duel TV’s “Up & Adams” show. This year she went a step further with her decision to celebrate her birthday on live television, in front of thousands of people. A celebration isn’t complete without Champagne, and hence, to make the event more delightful, the analyst tried to pop a bottle of champagne.

Unfortunately, it malfunctioned, and the alcohol jet went straight onto her face. “How much do I get if I knock out a light? 20 points!,” Adams exclaimed as she opened the bottle. Well, she got nothing out of it and became meme material for thousands of her followers on social media.

Her mobile phone, laptop, and everything else were at her disposal, and clearly, she wasn’t able to open her eyes. “I literally can’t open my eyes,” Adams said.

Soon, Butler, who was on the other side of the frame, couldn’t control his laugh and wished his co-host a warm birthday. “Yes! That was perfect. That was freaking perfect,” he said. Indeed, a similar kind of reaction was seen from thousands of netizens who watched the snippet.

Adams is no less than a celebrity

One of the prime examples that justifies the above notion is from a couple of weeks ago, when Adams got linked with NFL veteran Tom Brady. After he finalized his divorce from Gisele Bündchen, the former quarterback was rumored to have connections with Kay Adams. However, it remained a baseless theory with neither side responding to the speculations.

Chicago native spent six years at the NFL Network as one of the lead analysts before leaving her job last year. Since then, the sportscaster got associated with Fan Duel TV and has flourished as one of the top reporters in the country.
