RR vs CSK Head to Head Record in IPL History
Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings will lock horns against each other in Indian Premier League 2023 Match 37 just over a couple of weeks after their last encounter. With that match at the Chepauk witnessing both a cat and mouse battle and a nail-biting climax involving Mahendra Singh Dhoni, fans are expected to be glued to their screens in a rematch between the two teams.
In spite of losing that match at their home ground, CSK still have a better head-to-head record against RR. A one-sided record in the month of April, however, lacks behind slightly when it comes to playing at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
Out of their 53 home matches over the years, Royals have won 37 and lost 16 to be a force to reckon with here. Slated to play in Jaipur after more than four years, Super Kings have won three and lost out of their seven outings here. Furthermore, the visitors (7.64) also have a lower average run rate than the home team (8.05) in the city.
Another last-ball thriller, the last match between Rajasthan and Chennai at this venue had resulted in the latter’s favour after Mitchell Santner hit Ben Stokes for a six to seal a tense 152-run chase. Having lost four wickets in the powerplay, CSK had secured a victory primarily due to individual half-centuries by Dhoni (58) and Ambati Rayudu (57).
That being said, the match is infamously remembered for Dhoni wrongly storming on the ground to argue with the umpires.
