Drake has once again swam into the depths of the gambling spectrum, with his latest pair of bets placed in favor of the returning Jon Bones Jones. Jon Jones will make his return to the UFC after nearly three long years. The beguiling aspect of his comeback is that Bones will finally test himself in deep waters as the former light heavyweight king finally competes at heavyweight.

A move, eight years in the making. Jones is scheduled to face Kickboxing aficionado, Ciryl Gane. Given the vast distinctions in their fighting styles, with Jones predominantly a wrestling connoisseur, the fight has the scope to be a masterpiece.

Although, if history has been any indication, it’s that a wrestler almost always trumps a striker. Not to mention, Jones is regarded as the consensus greatest when it comes to the sport of mixed martial arts.

His extensive body of work, which includes a myriad of former champions, is a tribute to that. Understandably so, Jones has been favored by many to fulfill his prophecy and clinch heavyweight gold tonight.

This includes renowned artist Drake, who has been known to bet on sporting events from time to time.

Drake places 500,000$ bet on Jon Jones, with Conor McGregor seconding the idea!

Drake took to Instagram to reveal that he had placed two bets on Jones to reign supreme in his quest for glory. The bets amass to a collective sum of $500000 split into two wagers. The first bet saw Drake place $250000 on Jones to win via submission.

The payout for the bet is set to be a staggering 1,700,000$. Following this, to ensure he has covered his tracks, Drizzy placed another 250,000$ bet on Jones to win. This time via knockout. The payout for this is set to be 1,300,000.

Looks like the five-time grammy award winner opted to be on the safe side by covering all possible routes to victory, with the exception of a decision victory, which seems highly unlikely as it is.

Conor McGregor, responded to Drake’s post by saying he intended to do the same.

Given the astonishing sums of money involved, one can assume that the Canadian will be hoping his American counterpart will help him stockpile his wealth. Hopefully, Jones’ victory pursuit doesn’t get caught in the crossfire of the ‘Drake Curse’.

What is the Drake Curse?

The Drake curse is believed to be a myth surrounding the rapper’s gambling choices when it comes to events transpiring in the sporting world.

Previously, the 35-year-old has been known to place bets on tremendous athletes, who seemed to be on the cusp of victory, only to wind up losing, eventually.

In fact, recently, Drake placed an enormous bet on social media influencer turned boxer Jake Paul to beat boxing novice, Tommy Fury. Paul, however, sustained his first official loss as a boxer, as he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Fury.

Will the Drake curse continue, or could Jon Bones Jones redeem the Six God’s reputation?! Tune in tonight to find out!
