Aaron Rodgers is one of the most accurate quarterbacks in NFL history. In fact, his turnover stats greatly outweigh Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and several other legends. In the 50,000 passing yards club, Rodgers has thrown only four pick-sixes across his career, the only legend to rank in single digits on that list. Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and others all have significantly more. 12 quarterbacks have thrown for 50,000 yards, and yet, all of them have thrown their fair share of pick-sixes. Not Aaron Rodgers though.

The next closest to Rodgers on the list are Ben Roethlisberger, John Elway, and Tom Brady at 18 pick-sixes. Rodgers has always taken pride in taking care of the football. He doesn’t throw many interceptions, and it’s always a surprise to see him throw even one. Sure, other quarterbacks may have him beat when it comes to yards thrown, touchdowns thrown, and Super Bowls won, but there’s no questioning the fact that when it comes to turnovers, Rodgers is just a step ahead of everyone else. Here’s the full list.
Only 12 QBs have thrown for 50,000 yards in their career.
Here’s how many pick 6s they’ve thrown:
Favre – 32
Stafford – 29
Marino – 28
Peyton – 27
Brees – 27
Rivers – 25
Eli – 22
Ryan – 20
Brady – 18
Elway – 18
Roethlisberger – 18

Aaron Rodgers Has Left Tom Brady and Peyton Manning In The Dust In Interceptions
Rodgers is the definition of ball security when it comes to quarterbacks in the NFL. Elite passers Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady all got their praise for putting up gaudy numbers year after year, but Rodgers just silently and destructively chipped away at opposing defenses, rarely giving them the chance to pounce on his mistakes.
In the Packers’ game against the Vikings, Rodgers made headlines for throwing an interception. Why? Well, it was his first interception to an NFC North team since 2019.

Rodgers has only thrown above 10 interceptions thrice in his career, and one of those seasons was last year when the Packers went through an unprecedented rough patch, missing the playoffs altogether. For reference, Manning has 16 such seasons (all but one of his playing years), Brady has 12, and Brees has 14.
Rodgers’ career interception percentage averages a mere 1.4%. Manning comes in at 2.7%, Brady at 1.8%, and Brees at 2.3%. All told, there’s been nobody better at protecting the ball while also passing at a high volume and producing monster numbers. Rodgers has just 105 interceptions to his name while Manning has 251, Brady has 212, and Brees has 243.

Rodgers Will Look to Build His Interception Reputation with the Jets
Even in a down year for Rodgers, he still threw “only” 12 interceptions, a mark that many quarterbacks broach every year. The hope is that next year, Rodgers will regain his MVP form and cut down on the turnovers once again.
Rodgers finally got the trade out of Green Bay that he’d been yearning for, and he’s now ready to compete for a Super Bowl with a roster he believes in. After Davante Adams left Green Bay, it was only a matter of time before Rodgers would join him, and now, he’s ready to wreak havoc in an already strong AFC.
